Go To The Movies This Weekend!
You know what’s a good thing to do over the weekend? See a movie. Just kick back with your friends, unwrap the candy you shoplifted from Circle K, relax, and let the lights go low so that the screen will light up and transport you to another world and introduce you to characters you’ve never met but feel like you’ve known forever. You know what would be a great world to be transported into? The world of high school rugby.
Forever Strong, the definitive film about high school rugby, opens this weekend. Similar to Friday Night Lights but with more flower-planting montages, it’s a stirring, inspirational film, and features a bevy of up-and-coming dreamboats, including Sean Faris (The Brotherhood 2: Young Warlocks), Penn Badgley (Gossip Girlâ„¢), Nathan West (Bring It On), and Sean Astin (Hobbits)… none of whom wear sleeved t-shirts at any point in the film. But forget about them: Forever Strong also marks the big screen debut of a certain hunky, baby-faced blonde ingenue… Weak Nights’ very own Eliot “Schwartz” Benjamin!

(We call him “Schwartz” around Weak Nights HQ because of how Jewish he is.)
Be sure and go see Eliot’s stunning performance as Marty, a blonde asshole who out-Zabkas even Billy Zabka himself. Watch Eliot’s acting verisimilitude as he goes from a good-times pool party pal to a sneering, bone-crunching bulldog in only a few minutes!
Here’s a picture from a scene in which Eliot’s character drinks a beer in the back of a Jeep
Wrangler:

Also, you should know that there are not one but TWO scenes in this film where characters demonstrate that they are drinking and driving by crumpling up a beer can and throwing it out the window.
So, if you want to see an excellent high school sports drama that will quicken your pulse, bring a tear to your eye and perhaps give you a confusion boner, then see Forever Strong at a theater near you!
If you live in Los Angeles, here’s where it’s playing:

Edwards South Gate Stadium 20
(2:30), (5:10), 8:00, 10:35
Is this not the creepiest thing you have ever seen?

Mary Lou Retton as an M&M candy with real human eyes will haunt my dreams and rape my soul.
